KARACHI, April 29: The Board of Advance Studies and Research, University of Karachi has given approval to award DLitt and DSc in the subjects of Pakistan Studies and Botany respectively, besides awarding of PhD to two KU students in the fields of Pharmacology and Genetics.
According to an official of the KU on Friday, the BASR approved the awarding of DLitt to Dr Mohammad Ali Siddiqui, DSc to Dr Mohammad Athar Anis Tariq and PhD degrees to Dr Nasim Karim and Ms Nazia Jamil.
Four other students, Kamran Zaheer, Ms Farzana Begum, Ms Razia Shaheen and Mansoor Ahmed were found eligible for MPhil degrees in the fields of Pharmaceutics, Mathematics, and Biochemistry respectively, he added.
According to him, names of two more students Dr Hafizur Rahman and Dr Arif Dawood Herekar were also approved for MS and MD degrees respectively in the fields of Orthopaedic and Neurology.
