KARACHI, April 28: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal on Thursday submitted three adjournment motions for discussion during the next session of the Sindh Assembly.

The motions pertained to abduction and killing of an Islami Jamiat Talba activist, Farhan Asif; police raids on Jamaat-i-Islami head office; and an attack on the Seeratun Nabi Conference in Hyderabad.

The motions were submitted by the MMA parliamentary leader in the assembly Maulana Umer Sadiq, deputy parliamentary leader Nasarullah Shaji and MPAs Abdul Rehmat Rajput, Hameedullah Khan, Maulana Ahsanullah Hazarvi, Hafiz Mohammad Naeem, Mohammad Younus Barai and Ms Kulsoom Nizamani.

The MMA has alleged that Farhan Asif, had been abducted by APMSO, the student wing of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, before he was killed.

Through another motion, the MMA has asked the government to justify the police raids on Idara Noor-i-Haq and urged the elected house to take notice of such undemocratic actions.—PPI
