KARACHI, April 28: Four ships, including two tankers carrying palm and crude oil, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight vessels, Canmar Success, Orient Prosperity, Global Princess, Sagamore Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Fortune, Asian Traders to unload and load containers and Nur Ynabu to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of nine.
The ships, which departed included Canmar Success, Thor Captain, Orient Properity, Global Princess, Sagamore, APL Pusan, Oranje, Eny and Sport Quees, while Adhidaya, Y.M. Fortune, Ju Bao Men, Nur Yanbu, Veesham-1, Gloden Express and PONL Mahe are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 83,848 tons comprising 27,522 tons of export cargo including 2,007 and 2,328 tons of rice and cement and 56,326 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Johar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Celtic Terrier, with 12,500 tons of palm oil, Iran Shahryar and Wan Hai-262, with containers.
