KARACHI, April 27: The City Nazim, Niamatullah Khan, has said the city government would distribute Rs700 million octroi money, for the current fiscal year, among towns, according to the prescribed formula of the finance commission. He said this at a meeting of town nazims held at the Civic Centre on Wednesday.

Accordingly, the city government will keep 20 per cent of the octroi funds and distribute the remaining 80 per cent among the 18 towns in accordance with their population, area and financial needs.—PPI
