KARACHI, April 26: Ten vessels including a rice loader are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Thor Captain, Global Prince, to unload and load containers, Tyhi, to load rice, Veesham-1 to load cement and Rising one to load naphtha were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Bunga Terasek, Araakan, Mercs Sajinda, Rising One and Shalamar, while Labbadi, Global Prince, Bow de Feng, Oranje and Thor Captain are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 38,730 tons, mostly dry cargo comprising 7,597 tons of export cargo including 1,964 tons of cement and 1,483 tons of rice and 31,133 tons of import cargo, was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Nur Yanbu, with chemicals, Weng to load 9,000 tons of rice and Durban Queen to unload 1,121 tons of bitumen, Asian Trader, Sagamore, Y.M. Fortune, Hyundai Sprinter, Tai He, Canmar Success and Global Princess, with containers.
