MUZAFFARABAD, April 20: The Board of Governors of Cadet College Pallandari has accorded approval to the institution’s budget for the current year besides making several other administrative decisions here on Tuesday. The 15th meeting, presided over by AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat, was informed that the college’s income in the next year (2005-06) was expected to be around Rs30.25 million whereas its expenditures were estimated to be Rs34 million. The meeting decided that the AJK government would provide Rs5 million to the institution as grant in aid.
The meeting also confirmed the appointment of four lecturers — Mohammad Asif Majeed, Mohammad Taj, Khalid Mahmood and Mohammad Shamim — and approved promotion in grade-18 of Mohammad Bashir Khan, Mohammad Shoaib Aziz, Mohammad Abbas, Naeem Ahmed, Nisar Ahmed Mughal and Raja Raees.
The meeting also approved extension of two years to Principal Brigadier (retd) Mohammad Akram Khan from July 31, 2005 and of one year to Vice-Principal Squadron Leader (retd) Suleman Zubair from Sept 16, 2005.
It also approved construction of a new hostel (number 5) at a cost of Rs9 million besides installation of top quality heating system in the college.
Mr Akram presented the cadet college’s performance report on the occasion, informing the participants that so far 45 students had got commission in the armed forces or admissions in the professional colleges.
