FAISALABAD, April 15: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz claims that there is no bar on PPP workers to welcome Asif Ali Zardari, but no one will be allowed to violate the law and disrupt the normal life.
Talking to the press here on Friday, the prime minister hoped that the Indian visit of President Pervez Musharraf would be fruitful as both the countries were ready to discuss all matters of mutual interest.
He said the Kashmir issue would also be discussed during the meetings of Musharraf with top Indian leadership.
He said a number of development projects had been finalized for Faisalabad through the Khushhal Pakistan Programme. A university and a hospital would also be set up in the city to meet education and health requirements of the masses, he said.
The prime minister said huge funds would be provided to the local governments for the construction of major roads and upgradation of its civic infrastructure.
Speaking to the participants in a ceremony after inaugurating the gas supply project of Rs890 million in Samundri tehsil, 53km from here, the prime minister said some decisions had been taken in the recent meeting of the cabinet for changes in police rules and legal procedures.
He said owing to the use of underground brackish water, hepatitis was on the rise, and now the government had allocated Rs2.5 billion for the provision of potable water.
