Windsor Castle security

LONDON: Two officers at Windsor Castle have been taken off firearms duty, police said on Friday.

The move comes a day after undercover journalists drove a van with a fake bomb in the back through the gates of the royal residence.

The Sun newspaper journalist was testing security ahead of Saturday’s wedding at Windsor of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

A police spokeswoman declined to give any reason for the move. —Reuters
