KARACHI, April 8: Three ships carrying containers and wheat arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday. Meanwhile, a container ship was accommodated berth at QICT. Six ships, P&O Nedlloyd Cobra, Oranje, Aurora, Gold Carrier, Lady Jasmine and Glory, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, molasses, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 38,488 tons comprising 22,243 tons of import and 16,245 tons of export was handled

Sailing was also active as Oranje and P&O Nedlloyd Cobra left the port. while Austria was due to depart.

Three ships, Hammurabi, China Star and Wadi Al Halfa, carrying containers and wheat were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage. Two ship, Rosa-M and Warbah, were due to arrive on Friday.
