KARACHI, April 8: Six ships carrying containers and to load naphtha and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Stolt Botang, to unload oils, APL Orchid and Global Prosperity, with containers and Mercs Sajinda, with maize seeds were berthed after the departure of as many.

The vessels, which departed included Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Energy, APL Orchid and Asian Trader, while Harmony, Global Prosperity, Wise King, Wan Hai-263, Caroline-7 and Sinar Bontang are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage of 17,929 tons of export cargo including 4,826 tons of rice and 1,785 tons of cement and 22,778 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Chembulk Yokohama to load 12,500 tons of ethanol, Lady Jasmine, to load molasses, Pearl of Salalah to load naphtha, Kota Tabah, Bunga Bidara, with containers and Pacific, with project cargo.
