ISLAMABAD, April 7: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday said drug addiction was a menace which had very negative socio- economic repercussions and stressed that it must be eliminated from the society. He was talking to Minister for Narcotics Control Ghous Bux Khan Mahar who called on him and discussed the establishment of drug rehabilitation centres for addicts. The prime minister said there was need to work jointly against the drug menace so that it was rooted out from the society.

Mr Aziz hoped that establishment of drug rehabilitation centres would be a great step towards rehabilitation of drug addicts and wiping out this evil from the society. —APP
