Port Qasim


KARACHI, April 7: Two container ships were accommodated berths at Qasim International Container Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Berth occupancy remained on higher side as five ships, P&O Nedlloyd Cobra, Oranje, Multan, Gold Carrier, Lady Jasmine and SD Glory, were busy in loading and offloading containers, rice, chemicals and coal. A cargo volume of 64,582 tons comprising 36,438 tons of import cargo and 28,144 tons of export tonnage was handled.

A container ship, Aurora, was expected to take berth at QICT. While China Star, Hammurabi, Rosa-M and Wadial-Halfa were due to arrive at the port.
