Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, April 7: Eight ships carrying containers, palm olein and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Caroline-7, to unload oil, Sinar Bontang, Asian Trader, Hyundai Advance and Y.M. Energy, to unload and load containers. Sailing was fairly brisk as nine vessels, Thor Captain, APL Dalian, Oranje, Kota Wajar, Sagamore, Lalazar, Sea Conqueror, and Induruwa Valley and Caria departed, while Y.M. Energy, Asian Trader, APL Orchid, and Stolt Botan are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 73,739 tons comprising 19,413 tons of export cargo and 54,326 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following vessels are due to arrive on Friday: Slem Sathaporn, with RBD plam olein, Shalamar, with crude oil, Harmony, Wan Hai-263, Corin Thaikos, and Kota Tabah, with containers and Sea Ranger, to load 6,500 tons of cement.
