KARACHI, April 6: Four ships carrying maize seeds, chemical and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where half a dozen ships, including Iran Kordestan, Dong He, Oranje, Kota Wajar, Sagamore and APL Dalian to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of as many.

The Ships, which departed were led by Iran Kordestan, Dong He, Nur Yanbu, Pontoklydon, Gadam Mavang and Lalazar, while Sagamore, Induruwa Valley, Kota Wajar, Sea Conqueror and Asian Trader are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 99,684 tons comprising 28,636 tons of export cargo including 3,090 tons of rice and 2,695 tons of cement and 71,048 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Stolt Botan, with chemicals, APL Orchid, Global Prosperity, with containers and Mercs Selinda, with maize seeds.
