HYDERABAD, April 1: The member of Wapda (water), Chaudhry Mohammad Amin, while visiting the Kotri Barrage on March 30 observed that about 10,000 cusec of water was being discharged downstream Kotri.

According to a press statement issued here by the management of Wapda, Mr Amin also visited the works sites of RBOD-I and RBOD-III where chief engineer Mushtaq Sangi briefed him about all six works being executed there.

He said of these six development work the Usta Mohammad drainage unit and irrigation channel for reutilization of Balochistan effluent were being executed by the Balochistan irrigation department with the help of consultants while remaining four works were being implemented by Wapda.—Bureau
