KARACHI: Armed men kill youth, injure father

KARACHI, April. 1: A young man died and his father was wounded when assailants opened fire on them in Saeedabad on Friday.

However, police arrested two suspects from the spot and recovered weapon from their possession.

Zubair Ali, 30 and his father Noor Ali were passing through the Eidgah ground when suspects Ziaullah and Arshad opened fire on them and tried to flee.

Police nabbed the two suspects. During interrogation, Zia told police that Zubair had killed his brother two years back in Banu.

ACCIDENT: A young man died and his two friends were injured in a road accident in Gadap on Friday.

Police said Irfan, 18, died while Ghulam Husain and Gulzar were wounded when a dumper hit their motorcycle near Northern Bypass.

DEPRIVED: Two journalists were deprived of valuables by armed suspects on M.A Jinnah Road on Thursday night.

According to reports, Arif Shah and Shafqat Soomro of PPI were heading towards their home when unknown armed suspects intercepted them near Bundu Khan and deprived them of valuables. An FIR was lodged at the Brigade police station.
