10 killed as bus overturns

FAISALABAD, March 31: Ten people were killed and seven others injured when a passenger bus overturned after hitting a mini-truck near Roshanwali Jhal, on Faisalabad-Samundri Road, about 13 kilometres from the city on Thursday. The driver of the passenger bus bound for tehsil Gojra, lost control of the vehicle on Faisalabad-Samundri Road due to over-speeding. The bus hit a mini-truck coming from the opposite direction and later overturned. Four passengers died on the spot while 13 others were shifted to local Allied and DHQ Hospitals. Later, four of the injured died in the DHQ Hospital while two of the injured died while being shifted to the Allied Hospital. Names of only five of the 10 passengers killed in the accident could be ascertained till our going to press. They were: Rashid, Shahzad, Haneef, Muhammad Ali and Shafqat.
