HYDERABAD, March 30: A partial strike was observed against the rise in petroleum prices on a call of the transporters’ association in the interior of Sindh on Wednesday.

In Hyderabad, buses did not ply for Karachi while some buses for interior routes plied. Bus service from the Qasim Chowk terminal continued uninterrupted.

KHAIRPUR: The transporters’ call for strike against increase in oil prices received no response in the district.

Transport continued to ply in all talukas of the district and there were no signs of a strike.

However, traffic remained thin on the National Highway.

NAWABSHAH: A partial strike was observed in the district. Buses and coaches for Karachi remained off the road but transport for Sukkur, Hyderabad, Naushahro Feroze and Sanghar districts was available as usual. —Dawn Report
