KARACHI, March 30: An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement was killed in Landhi.

Police said that the victim was identified as Asif, 24. The body, found from Khuramabad Ground, was trussed up and bore multiple bullet wounds. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities, police added.

They said that the activist was kidnapped from Korangi late on Tuesday night.

In Sachal Goth, a mother of seven children was killed.

Police said that Haleema Bibi, 40, was throttled to death by her husband, Nazeer Ahmed. Police nabbed the husband, who alleged that his wife had an immoral character. However, according to her elder daughter, Naureen, who lodged the FIR, her mother used to ask her father for the expanses to run the daily affairs of the house.

In Docks Colony, a man was shot dead by his brother late on Tuesday night.

Police said that Noor Khan, 24, was asleep when his brother, Rasool Khan, allegedly shot him in the head and fled. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for postmortem examination.

In Korangi, the charred body of a nine-year-old boy was recovered late on Tuesday night.

Police said that the body of Mohammad Saqib was recovered from Korangi’s J-Area near the KTC School. The badly burnt body was shifted the body to the JPMC for postmortem.
