Tragedy befalls Indian, Pakistani lovers

By Our Correspondent

DUBAI, March 30: A romance between an Indian woman and a Pakistani man ended in tragedy with the death of the woman who couldn’t bear separation and committed suicide. The Dubai police broke into the apartment of the woman, who was reported missing for two days, and found her decomposed body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police discounted murder as forensic experts did not find any evidence of struggle or mark on the body. The apartment door was also locked from inside. According to police, the woman was in love with a Pakistani businessman and was sharing an apartment with him in Dubai.

“He decided to leave the country after having made a bad business investment, and also to leave her. “She decided to kill herself because she could not bear the separation,” police sources have been quoted as saying in local newspapers. The businessman is not a suspect and police say they were sure ‘he had nothing to do with her death’.
