KARACHI, March 28: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Monday said the issues which used to generate inter-provincial bias were being used now to promote harmony and solidarity.

The governor stated this while talking to participants of NIPA Advance Course, who called on him along with their Director Shaharyar Khan here at Governor’s House.

He said different political quarters had utilized issues like Kalabagh Dam and NFC Award for their political ends since long and the government in the past remained isolated from the entire situation. However, he said, President Musharraf started open discussion on these issues and now constructive dialogues and discussion could be witnessed on governmental and other forums.

Regarding NFC Award, he said representatives of provincial governments had held an open discussion on the issue that brought positive results. He said present government had boosted inter-provincial harmony.

He informed the participants that government was not taking any decision unilaterally but by taking the masses into confidence.—PPI
