26 states to attend ACD meeting
BEIJING, March 27: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will present future agenda of socio-economic development in the Asian countries at the fourth Foreign Ministers’ Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) scheduled for April 5 in Islamabad. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will inaugurate the event.
A senior Chinese official told APP here on Sunday that the Chinese premier would deliver a keynote address at the conference, seeking to adopt a common strategy achieving long-term sustainable peace and development in the Asian region.
The ACD is an important regional forum, promoting understanding to resolve disputes among the member countries through dialogue.
Twenty-six regional countries will participate in it to discuss ways and means for promoting peace, security and development in the Asian.
The official said the Chinese government attached great importance to the ACD and wished to see it an important forum for addressing issues of common interest.—APP
