This was decided in an emergency meeting of the SPLA, held here on Sunday with Prof Manzoor Hussain Chishti in the chair. Prof Syed Riaz Ahsan, Prof Mohammad Mashooq Baloch, Prof Shafqat Jokhio, Prof Khadim Hussain Khoso, Prof Mubeenur Rehman and other SPLA office-bearers also attended the meeting.

The meeting condemned the brutal killing of the DCET principal and offered Fateha for the deceased.

It decided that 7, 500 college teachers of Sindh would observe black day on March 29 and wear black armbands.

Protest meetings would be held in colleges in which resolutions would be passed to condemn the murder, and an early arrest of the culprits would be demanded.

The meeting also decided to convene a meeting of the SPLA Sindh general body on April 7 in the DJ Science College.—PPI
