Sohaib spins PIACA to easy victory

KARACHI, March 26: Teenage left arm spinner Sohaib Ahmed captured four wickets to spin PIA Cricket Academy (PIACA) to 88-run victory over touring Birmingham club Attock CC at UBL Sports Complex ground on Saturday.

Sohaib finished with figures of four wickets for 34 runs in eight overs and Adnan Naeem grabbed two for five to spin out Attock CC for 160.

Sultan Mahmood top-scored for tourists with 46 spiced with seven hits to the boundary and Altaf Bari got 40 with three boundaries.

Earlier PIACA raced to 248 for seven wickets in their 40 overs with Ahmed Zeeshan Malil slamming seven seven fours in his 91-ball knock of 74 and former Test opener Ghulam Ali hit 54 laced with five fours and a six. Asif hits 35 off 30 balls with three boundarie3s and Mahmood Hamid hit three fours in his 34.

Altaf Bari and Sajjad Amir shared four wicket between them.

ACC will take on Sindh Police at National Stadium on Sunday.
