RAWALPINDI, March 25: Service Industries advanced to the final of Patron’s Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament by virtue of first innings lead against Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) in the semifinal which ended in a draw on Friday.

Service Industries which took a lead of 224 runs in the first innings were 171 for seven wickets when play was stopped before the scheduled time on the final day of the match at the ARL ground.

Starting at the overnight score of 82 for two, Service Industries added another 89 runs to their total for the loss of five wickets in 39.1 overs bowled during the day.

Masood Asim remained the top scorer with 50 runs including 10 Fours.

For ARL, Alamgir captured three wickets for 64.

Meanwhile, the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II final will be played between SAGA and Servis Industries at the Multan Cricket Stadium from April 1.

The four-day final will be supervised by Iqbal Butt and Ahmad Shahab, while Ishtiaq Ahmad will be the match referee.
