KARACHI, March 23: Land-grabbers have become active in Shanti Nagar, Union Council No 7, Gulshan-i-Iqbal. They have encroached upon land near Nehru Gate where a boundary wall has been built by them, and plots are being sold for Rs 50,000 and Rs 100,000.

The landgrabbers have also encroached upon another piece of land near a school where a boundary wall has been built. The plot is located between the Government Boys Primary Mosque School, Sindhi Mochi Para and an abandoned dispensary of defunct district council in Sindhi Mochi Para.

Area people said that they have informed higher authorities of the situation, but they have taken no action.—PPI
