KARACHI, March 23: More than 110 Educational institutions including 30 from the UK and three from the USA will be participating in the 15th Pakistan International Education Exhibition (PIEE), to be held on April 2 and 3.
The exhibition is being organized by the World Learning Bureau (WLB) in collaboration with the British Council and the Higher Education Commission, government of Pakistan.
The event one of the biggest of its kind and is regularly held in the country. It will also be held in Rawalpindi on March 29 and in Lahore on March 30 and 31.
The PIEE will give students and representative of educational institutions the opportunity to meet under one roof.
All learning institutions including schools, polytechnic, colleges, universities, vocational training centres, foreign affiliated educational institutions, education promotion organizations, publishers, manufacturers, dealers of educational equipment and related services will be participating in PIEE 2005.
The Chairman, Higher Education Commission, Dr Ataur Rehman, will inaugurate the exhibition in Karachi, while the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, will inaugurate the exhibition in Rawalpindi.
The US Education Foundation, Ghazi University Turkey, University of East London UK, the University of Manchester UK, University of Sunderland UK, Queen Mary University of London, Universal Impair of Medical Institute UAE, Greenwich University, European University of Lefke, Cyprus International University, Dada Bhoy University, Bahria University, Biztek University, Lahore University Business School, World Educational Services and FT college are some of the institutions which will participate in the PIEE 2005.
An International Educational Conference on “Role of Higher Education in Nation Plan” will also be held during the exhibition. — PPI
