Rain destroys standing crops, inundates roads

By Our Correspondent

MANSEHRA, March 22: The torrential rains continuing for four days have destroyed crops and inundated many many villages in various parts of the district. The flood in river Seron has washed away a number of suspension bridges in Bhogarmang Valley and the Pakhal area cutting the road link with villages on the right bank of the river. It has also blocked the Bhogarmang Valley Road at many points. Dozens of sheep, mostly belonging to Afghan refugees settled in the camps in Khaki and Itchrian have been swept away. Kaghan Valley Road has again been blocked due to heavy landslides between Kawai and Paras.
