Karakoram Highway reopens after one week
GILGIT, March 22: The Karakoram Highway which remained closed for one week has been all kind of traffic after earth and rocks, the Frontier Works Organization says. It said that heavy rain and floods in Kohistan had blocked the highway at least three points which blocked the road between the Northern Areas and Rawalpindi for a week. The PIA flights, however, could not be operated for the seventh day due to bad weather in Northern Areas.
