By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, March 19: A gangster was killed in a police ‘encounter’ on Saturday at Chak 605-GB in Bahlak police limits, about 47km from here. Police claimed that a party, led by the Tandlianwala SHO, raided a den of proclaimed offenders. On seeing policemen, the gangsters opened fire. During an exchange of fire, Amir Ali Wattoo alias Ameero was killed while his accomplices managed their escape. Later, Saddar SP Tauqeer Hayat told the press that Amir Wattoo was wanted in a dozen cases of murder, highway robbery and vehicle snatching.
