ISLAMABAD, March 19: The National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences organized gaming, software, speed programming, multimedia, animation, creative poster and quiz competitions on Saturday. The National Software Competition 2005 (NasCon) was inaugurated by Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Attaur Rehman.
More than 350 individuals and around 120 teams took part in different competitions representing more than 90 educational institutions. The event attracted professionals and students from different age groups and intellectual tastes. Professionals and students tested their mettle in software and speed programming competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ata appreciated the organizers for arranging such an event which promoted raw talent in the country. He said there was no dearth of talent in Pakistan and that the country’s scientists had proven their mettle all across the world.
The Pakistani scientists, he said, possessed knowledge, expertise and experience to do what scientists of the most advanced countries could not.
