ARD’s bid to make march a success

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, March 18: The ARD and the MMA are making preparations to make their March 23 public meeting and million-man march a success. Various ARD committees met here on Friday to review the situation and see what more should be done to attract maximum people to the public meeting. Initially, the public meeting was to be held at the Minar-i-Pakistan but the venue has been shifted to the nearby Attiq Stadium. Lahore MMA Amir Hafiz Salman Butt presided over a meeting in connection with religious alliance’s million-man march. In a statement issued subsequently, the MMA leader claimed that people would come on the streets in large numbers on March 23 to express their no-trust in the present rulers.

CONFERENCE: The Khaksar Tehrik is holding a conference here on Saturday which will be addressed, among others, by ARD Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim, PML-N Chairman Raja Zafarul Haq, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi, Nawabzada Mansoor Khan, Tehmina Daultana and Qasim Zia.

Hameeduddin Mashraqi will preside.
