Shortage of teachers in college criticized

SUKKUR, March 16: Students of the Sardar Ghulam Mohammad Medical College boycotted classes on the second consecutive day on Wednesday and staged a demonstration outside the press club in protest against the non-provision of academic staff. They said there was an acute shortage of teaching staff in the college while facilities of library and hostel were not being provided to them.

They said the college administration was providing hostel facility which was not safe according the security point of view. They demanded that the government should shift them to other colleges of Sindh.

ZAKAT: More than 35 people including women held a demonstration outside the Thull press club on Wednesday in protest against the chairman of Zakat and Ushr Committee Thull, Dr Saeed Jamali.

They alleged that Dr Jamali was involved in the embezzlement of Zakat fund. They said the chairman was distributing Zakat funds among his relatives while ignoring the poor and needy.
