Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, March 16: The Pakistan People’s Party has convened a meeting of its provincial council here on March 20 to chalk out the party’s future line of action for general elections. PPP provincial information secretary Syed Ayub Shah, in a press statement, said that the PPP council would also decide about the 26th death anniversary of the PPP founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto which was falling on April 4. The provincial council would also review the arrangements being made for welcoming to Asif Ali Zardari, returning from Dubai to Lahore on April 16.

Mr Shah said that Mr Zardari would kick off his mass-contact drive from Lahore. He would tour all the four provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said a large number of PPP workers from across the province would reach Lahore airport to receive Mr Zardari.
