Election for Naib Nazim on April 7
SHEIKHUPURA, March 15: Election for the seat of district Naib Nazim will be held on April 7.
The seat had fallen vacant after the death of former Naib Nazim Zahid Yaseen some two months ago.
Five candidates namely Rai Asad Khan Kharal, Dr Saleem, Zia Ahmad Khan, Mian Maqsood and Rashid Chaudhry filed nomination papers for the post on Tuesday. Objections will be filed on March 16, scrutiny of papers on March 17, appeals against acceptance or rejection of papers on March 19, disposal of appeals on March 22, withdrawal of papers on March 24, the final list of candidates with symbols on March 25, polling on April 7 and the result on April 9.
