Omar Kureishi’s death widely condoled


ISLAMABAD, March 14: Federal Minister for Sports, Mohammad Ajmal Khan expressed his deep shock and grief over Mr Omar Kureishi’s demise.

In a condolence message to the bereaved family, the minister remarked Mr Kureishi will be remembered for his witty remarks and deep knowledge of the game.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman and former captain Imran Khan has condoled the death of Omar Kureishi.

In a statement issued on Monday, Imran said: “I mourn the death of Omar Kureishi. His death is the end of an era.”

Former and present Test cricketers and PCB officials also condoled the death of Mr Kureishi.

Chairman, PCB, Shaharyar M. Khan has expressed his deep sorrow on the death of Mr Kureishi.

Ex-Pakistan captain Hanif Muhammad, Test cricketers Waqar Hasan, Hasib Ahsan, Wasim Bari, Salahuddin Ahmad, Naushad Ali and Iqbal Qasim also expressed their heartfelt condolences.

All prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family.
