Poor cell, cable, ISPs services resented

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 14: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has appealed to the secretary ministry of communication to take notice of the poor quality of service provided to subscribers by cell phone companies, internet service providers (ISPs) and cable companies.

The SMEs are complaining that the ISPs and cable companies are having poor networking and insufficient capacity whereby they are facing difficulties due to increased number of subscribers which are unmanageable by them and all are suffering.

Unisame President Zulfikar Thaver in a statement requested to the communication secretary to take serious note of this shortcoming and ensure that these companies did not indulge in oversubscriptions resulting in chaos.

He said Unisame members were complaining of finding the network busy in cases of cell phones, breaking and dropping of connections and other faults in cases of internet. He said the service providers always came up with excuses that the network was being upgraded.
