KARACHI, March 13: Three persons were killed in various parts of the city on Sunday.
Unknown persons killed a coach driver on Mauripur Road early Sunday morning. Police said Farman, 27, driver of Marwat coach woke up at 6am to take out his coach. As he went to the washroom, unknown persons shot him in the face and fled. Farman died on the spot.
The incident occurred at the Marwat coach terminus. Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The victim had got married 14 months before and had a daughter.
The victim’s relative, Tameez Khan, lodged an FIR against unknown persons at the Mauripur police station.
DIES: A young man died when he tried to intervene into a dispute outside a hut at Hawkesbay late Saturday night.
Police said Rehmatullah, a businessman, was celebrating the birthday of his son Rehan at hut No 59 at Hawkesbay.
A fight broke out between one of the invitees Falak Sher Mohammad, Rehan’s cousin and some unknown persons. The suspects opened fire at Falak Sher and wounded him.
Seeing the problem, two passers-by Noman and Ghaffar stopped and intervened into the dispute. Subsequently, Noman suffered a bullet wound and died before he could be shifted to the hospital.
Police said that the unknown suspects fled following the incident.
