KARACHI: Uplift work reviewed


KARACHI, March 13: Sindh Minister for Mineral Resources Irfanullah Khan Marwat here on Sunday inspected the under construction Government Girls Degree College, at Azam Basti.

The foundation of the institution, being completed at a cost of Rs29.877 million, was laid by the minister who then held the portfolio of education.

The college is expected to be completed by June 2005 and would benefit an estimated number of 600 girl students belonging to the colony and the surrounding localities, mainly inhabited by working class and daily wage earners.

On the occasion the minister asked the officials of Sindh Services and Works department to ensure that construction work of the college building is completed within the stipulated time.—APP
