KARACHI: Secretaries committee reviews key issues


KARACHI, March 11: The Secretaries Committee met here on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mohammad Aslam Sanjrani and considered the issues related to pending litigation matters, disciplinary cases, KESC/Hesco dues, working progress of all administrative departments, measures for improvement in educational standard, besides reviewing ADP schemes and other relevant affairs.

It was decided that all administrative departments would carefully examine the cases and ensure that no lacuna was left.

Regarding the KESC/Hesco dues, it was decided that the finance department would advise consultant to contact all departments individually to get the dues settled.

The meeting decided that all administrative departments would submit half-yearly reports indicating short- and long-term goals to be achieved by them.

Regarding improvement in educational standard, the chief secretary reiterated his desire that secretaries, as decided in the last meeting on the subject, would visit educational institution falling in their respective area and suggest ways and means to bring about an improvement.—APP
