HYDERABAD, March 10: The district officer, secondary and higher secondary education, Badin, Prof Mohammad Khan, has accused the chairman of the District Safety Commission, Badin district, of harassing and threatening him and appealed to authorities to remove him from the post.
Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Thursday, he said he had sent two teachers of the Government Girls’ High School, Nindo Shehar, on forced leave on Feb 26 because they had not been performing their duties properly.
He said the safety commission chief tried to force him to withdraw the order but he asked him to wait for completion of legal formalities.
He alleged that the commission chairman used abusive language against him on March 9 and threatened him with dire consequences. He said he wrote a letter to the DPO who contacted him on telephone and assured him that action would be taken in the matter. He said his life was in danger.
He appealed to the National Reconstruction Bureau chairman and the Sindh governor to remove the commission chief.
He further said he would challenge his appointment through a petition in the Sindh High Court.
Answering questions, he said he had informed his superiors in writing about the incident.
ISRA: The Isra University has announced the result of admission test of the faculty of computer and management sciences held on March 6.
Interviews of successful candidates will be held from March 14 to 17.
