LONDON, March 10: A British judge awarded bail on Thursday to a foreign terrorism suspect detained for more than three years while also granting bail “in principle” to another eight suspects.
The Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) said an Algerian national, known only as “A”, could be set free but placed under surveillance with an electronic tag and subjected to a range of other strict bail conditions.
SIAC judge Duncan Ouseley said he was granting similar bail conditions “in principle” to a further eight men who have also been detained without charge for up to three years.—AFP
