Shujaat visit triggers speculations

ISLAMABAD Mar 9: Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain left here for Germany en-route Britain, fuelling speculations about his meetings with some opposition figures in London. Mr Shujaat will have a transit stay in London.

Federal Minister for Information Sheikh Rashid when asked to comment on Mr Shujaat's departure, said he did not know about any such meetings.

He told Dawn: "I met Chaudhry Sahib today and I was told that he was embarking on a private visit abroad." There were rumours in Islamabad about Mr Shujaat's possible meetings with PML(N) president Shahbaz Sharif in London.
