KARACHI: Meera back home

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 9: Noted film actress Meera returned from India on Wednesday night after playing a role in Indian Director Mahesh Bhutt's movie 'Nazar', which generated controversy back home. She is alleged to have performed "obscene" parts in the film.

Speaking to newsmen at the Karachi airport, she said: "I have returned to take legal action against those who have levelled allegations against me." She said she would be addressing a press conference soon in this regard, adding that Pakistan was her home and no one could stop her from coming here.

The actress claimed that she had no regrets on performing in Mahesh Bhutt's film, 'Nazar'. "I cannot quit showbiz just because of a few critics," she said. She denied having done any vulgar scenes in India, maintaining that some people were trying to destroy her career by slapping baseless allegations against her.
