KARACHI, March 7: A young man committed suicide by shooting himself in the head at a public place in Keamari area on Monday. Police quoting family sources said, the 22-year-old, Rashid Mohammad was reported to be suffering from mental illness.

According to police sources, the deceased, a resident of Okhai Colony, walked to Hussain Chowk near Ghausia bakery, in the limits of Jackson police station and committed suicide using a pistol. Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. However, police are investigating about the ownership of the pistol.

ROBBED: A professor of Jamshoro University got deprived of Rs29,800 by unknown armed suspects upon his arrival from Hyderabad in January, in the limits of Joharabad police station. The snatched amount was meant for the replacement of the professor's pacemaker. However, the professor still awaits initiation of police investigation of his case.
