MULTAN: Four die, 12 hurt in road accidents

MULTAN, March 6: Four people, including a couple, were killed while 12 others sustained injuries in two accidents on Sunday in Mianchannu and Qadirpur Raan.

Reports said a Multan-bound bus collided with three trolleys being pulled by as many tractors. As a result tractor driver Muhammad Ashraf died on the spot while another person Hazar Khan succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The injured were identified as Sajjad, Ramzan, Ghualm Qasim, Nadeem, Basheer, Javed and Saeed.

Babar Akram, a lawyer from Multan, was going to Sialkot along with his family by his car (MNX-5353). Near Mianchannu bypass, a small tanker carrying acid (GTB-7905) hit the car in a bid to overtake it. As a result Babar and his wife Lubna died on the spot. Their two-month-old daughter Zarva, son Inamullah, lawyer's sister Abida Sarwar and female servant Farhat sustained injuries.
