PESHAWAR, March 5: Chief of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmad has hoped that religious parties would sweep the next local Bodies elections across the country.

This he said after attending a briefing here at Al Markaz-i- Islami on Friday in which preparations for the forthcoming local bodies polls were discussed. Provincial ministers including senior minister Sirajul Haq were also present on the occasion.

Expressing satisfaction over the arrangements made for the scheduled polls, Qazi Hussain said that district level chapters of the JI could make adjustment with all political parties and independent groups.

He directed that priority should be given to the components of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA).
