SHIKARPUR, Feb 28: Three members of a family, including a woman and a minor boy, were gunned down in the Rakhial Ji Wandh village in the Garhi Yasin police jurisdiction on Monday.

One Sadruddin Shar with his accomplices tried to barge into the house of Mohammad Umer Shar but on his resistance, shot him dead.

Then they entered the house and opened indiscriminate fire as a result Umer's cousin Soomri and her two and half years old son Mazhar Ali were killed on the spot and another woman Beebal was injured. Accused Sadruddin is said to be the brother-in-law of Soomri and the area people believe that the triple murder is result of the karo-kari related dispute.

However, Jamaluddin Shar, another brother-in-law of Soomri, who has lodged an FIR nominating Sadruddin Shar as the main accused, stated that the incident was the result of an old enmity. No arrest was reported till the filing of this report.
