LAHORE, Feb 28: A youth reportedly committed suicide by jumping down from a shopping plaza in Ichhra on Monday. "I couldn't do anything for my sister. I have been trying my best for a job for months, but to no avail.

I am committing suicide and let my family know about it," police quoted a part of a suicide note, which they claimed was recovered from the pockets of the deceased. However, they said nothing else was found to establish the identity of the youth, whose body they removed to the city mortuary for autopsy.

ROBBERS: Model Town police claimed on Monday to have arrested two robbers. The accused, identified as Habibullah alias Azad Khan and Ziarat Gull, would work as watchmen to gather information about their targets, police said.

The alleged robbers were arrested in a raid conducted on a tip-off, the police said. A stolen car and other looted items were recovered from the accused.
