DADU: 7,000 candidates for 40 posts

DADU, Feb 27: About 7,000 candidates appeared for a written test here on Sunday for 40 posts lying vacant in the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company in the district.

In the first shift, 5,000 candidates appeared, while 2,000 sat in the second shift. Most of the candidates, aspiring to join the electric company as assistant linemen, bill distributors, meter readers, etc., are diploma holders or possess master's degree.

PPP MPA: People's Party Parliamentarians central committee member MPA Murad Ali Shah has claimed that following serious corruption charges against suspended minister, Imtiaz Shaikh, and Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, people have lost confidence in the government.

Speaking at a public gathering at the inauguration ceremony of a free eye camp in Bajara village, he said that the federal government had sent a team to conduct an inquiry into the Sindh affairs, which indicated that thecentre had no confidence in the Sindh government.
